I can't get any volume out of my Denon AVR 3806. Says Main Zone Off. Not sure how to get it back on
JA: What's the make/model number of your stereo? How old is it?
Customer: AV Surround Receiver AVR 3806
JA: What happened right before this popped up? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: TV was on without sound
JA: Anything else you want the theater expert to know before I connect you?

Initially, have you tried turning it on using the PN/STANDBY button on the unit itself? ...bottom left most

Still, try pressing on the remote control's AMP button first (perhaps a couple of times to ensure that it is in AMPlifier mode and not ZONE or SYSTEM CAL.
...and then after, press on the ON button.
