I want to use a Philips universal remote with it but the remote instructions do not list a code.
How do I obtain a code?

Hello, The code is not generated by the makers of the CD player- it is determined by the Philips remote. You need to have a code listed in the remote manual in order to be able to program it to the Technics. Not all remotes support all devices. that being said, what model Philips remote do you have John?
