Is there a way other than wiring my front speakers set and

Is there a way other than wiring my front speakers set and rear speaker set in parellel to bring them from 8 ohms down to 4 ohms. If I wire them parellel want I loose the multi channel effect but if I leave them at 8 ohms with my receiver out put at 4 ohms I might burn it up
