New system which I have connect as instructed via the manufactures recommendations, Onkyo txnr646 receiver w/arc connection to Samsung 4k suhd tv w/arc & older Samsung blue ray hdmi & charter cable box hdmi. Thus far all connections have been made through the receiver and I have followed through the arc setup steps on both the tv & receiver. The problem has been that in order to get a picture on the tv to watch cable i have to have the dvd player on. The tv, receiver & dvd player are cec set on and acknowledging each other.
