the model number for the Pioneer Elite is VSX-50
The UE33 flashing message just appeared -- I was not doing anything.

I am away from my desk right now, but first thing to try is unplug the power cord for at least 5 minutes. Next I would suggest do a firmware update using USB not network. Get firmware update information here:
