Hi, I have old am/fm receiver (Technics SA-GX505). It was working.... now the standby light is on but it won't turn on. should i have to change the power supply unit?

Hi there,
The power supply unit is the most likely cause of the fault.
It can be tested, and replaced if confirmed as faulty.

I do not know the part number of power supply unit and i see something called "Power supply Circuit" in the service manual. there is only one transistor (probably power transistor). Can It be the issue? what if i cahnge the transistor?

I am not sure if i want to take to shop to fix it( it may cost more than the receiver itself)
