Do you mean the RSX-1065 receiver?
Expert:  Nathan replied 2 years ago.
Assuming so, that will have very limited capability to integrate with either current or future devices. While this was a very high end amp, it came out back in 2003 and is really obsolete now. It has no digital video processing capabilities. At best it can do component (red/green/blue) video connections, which will be only 1080i, that isn't even up to the 1080p high def standard. You could continue to use the rotel for audio only however, and it would be fine for that. You can run video directly to a display, letting you get 4k if you have a 4k tv/projector and a 4k source device, then running the audio separately back to the rotel.

If you do want a fully integrated AV receiver that will be on par with the rotel in terms of audio, but have future capability for 4k video, hdmi2, hdcp 2.2, etc, I'd recommend one of the new denon or marantz flagship models: If you have any other questions, just let me know. Otherwise, please do remember to rate my service prior to logging off, hopefully I have earned an “excellent”. I also invite you to contact me directly with any future support needs at Thank you, ***** ***** a good day,Nathan
