I have NetworX Series...

I have NetworX Series NX-148E keypads with an NX-8 control panel. I was gone for a week and came back to find the backup battery was bad but couldn't figure out how to stop it so disconnect power. I replaced the battery the next day and the key pads continue to beep and there is nothing but light on the screens.

Nothing. Same beeping

Try disconnecting the power supply and battery for 5 minutes. Then put the battery back in and connect the power supply again. Let me know if anything shows on the display?

Power has been off for days. Powered back up and same thing as described above. Light on screen but no words and beeping with alternating fire and pier lights blinking

Not sure but the keypads worked when I got home or rather there were words showing that the battery needed to be replaced when I got home

If it doesn't come back on again after a few disconnects and reconnects then I suspect a fault within the control panel, possibly from a voltage surge.

How would I verify a fault? What kind of power surge? When I plugged it back in after replacing the battery? As I noted it had words on the keypad that the battery was low and then it was disconnected until I could replace battery.

A fault can be verified by taking some test measurements on a voltmeter and comparing against the expected readings from a schematic diagram or working control panel.

Any sort of voltage spike can result from powering off and on the equipment, as the control panel ages the components inside it become more vulnerable to slight fluctuations in voltage which could occur when the battery is connected.
