We use the door chimes on our alarm system and the back door

Customer Question

We use the door chimes on our alarm system and the back door has quit chiming but the other doors are fine. Code say not ready with AC in top right corner
JA: What's the make/model of your device? How old is it?
Customer: Do not know. We move into new home 2 1/2 years ago and received no paperwork.
JA: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: About 3 weeks. We've tried typing in 1234 and then 1 --and 1234 and then 9
JA: Anything else you want the security expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: no

Can you see any brand or model number on the system at all?

On some systems, you can enter your code then press [9 CHIME] to turn the chime on and off.

Is that what you have used in the past?

Customer: replied 2 months ago.
The only thing on the system is the name Honeywell. I typed in 1,2,3,4 and 9 and it did not respond. It reads" not ready" and under that the word chimes. Also the letters AC in the top left
Expert:  Pete replied 2 months ago.

The Honeywell systems will normally show AC on the display when AC power is connected.

Is the back door sensor wired or wireless?

If it is wireless, try changing the battery.
