Home Security System Repair Questions? Ask a Technician.
Hi, I'm Pete. Welcome to JustAnswer! I'm reviewing your question now, and will post back with your reply ASAP.
Sorry for any delay.
Does the safe give a confirmation beep indicating that you have used the correct factory code?
If so, then the lock mechanism may have jammed - try hitting the door with a rubber mallet a few times to help loosen it and let me know if that works?
One other thing - do you have the master override key that comes with the safe when new?
Do you get any color of light at all?
If the lock is jammed stuck or the code doesn't work and you don't have the override key then a locksmith will be required to open the safe.
Ok, then either the batteries are too low or the code is incorrect.
Check that the batteries are good and fresh, and are making good contact inside the battery compartment.
If there is any buildup of corrosion on the battery terminals then remove it.
In that case there isn't anything else you can try - a locksmith will be required to open the safe.
I have given you expert advice. We have exhausted all options.
