Customer Question

When I power up the system (4110xm + 6150 keypad) the display on the keypad flashes with all the alpha characters, the ready & armed lights flash a few times and then the kp goes blank. I've installed 4 of these before and never had trouble. Ihave it hooked up on the bench to check it out before installing. I noticed that Pin 7 of the alarm board (data out to keypad) measures 12 v all the time and Pi6 measures some very low dc voltage. Is the board bad, or did I fry the keypad?

Hi there,

I am Pete and I'll be happy to assist with your question.

If the system is not booting up correctly and the keypad is not displaying correctly then the main control board in the 4110xm system is suspect. It is likely that you were unfortunate enough to receive a bad system.

If it is new, you should return it to have it exchanged with a working unit.
