The best way to have this configured is on the same subnet if you can. From your internal network you should be able to connect to the Lorex camera using the IP address of the camera internally. This starts with a 192. If it is on a different subnet that would be a little bit more tricky. Usually though Wi-Fi extenders are only extending the Wi-Fi signal and do not affect the IP addressing. So it should be no different from accessing a camera directly connected through Wi-Fi to your router. The Wi-Fi extender should not affect port forwarding from external addresses either. But if you are having problems, please let me know specifically what problems you have along with whatever other detail you can provide.
