Yes they do sell the red and blue dots. But there are several different types. Some are plugs and some are like stickers. Would need a generally idea of what they looked like. Here is a search I did. If you scroll through the pictures at the top of the search maybe you can locate ones similar to yours.
If you still have them and take a picture of the faucet on your phone. With this head to a local plumbing supply store. Ferguson is a well know plumbing supply store. They may be able to identify the faucet model and order you the exact part. Being 1985 may be a bit of a challenge finding the exact part though.
