Hi Mike, . I know a few things about country music, but nothing about squeaking hardwood floors. The floors are driving us nuts! Before we moved in last November, we had new hardwood floors put in most of the main floor level of our home. They sqeak extemely bad! Not just one room, but all rooms. We've had a number of trades people tell us to do this, that, and everything in between, but we can't get a straight answer from anyone as to what THEY would do to fix the problem. We just want a professional to tell us what they will do to fix the problem, or tell us nothing can be done, and that our only option is to tear it all out and start over. I can't say the sub-flooring was re-screwed down. I do know the sub-floor is glued and nailed to the joist which are 2" x 8". We need someone to give us a straight answer solution. CAN YOU HELP? What is the maximum supported weight from engineered joists at 19" o.c. in a third floor condo? The engineer claims 40 psf. I have a fish tank that weighs 560 lbs fully loaded including stand and everything. It takes up 4 sq ft.

Hi, I've tried to paint my rooms in my home but have not painted very cleanly (clean lines, etc) I have dry wall that is textured. I think it's called knock down drywall?? I may have that incorrect, anyway, the paint seems to seep through to the ceiling etc when I use the blue tape to try and prep it. I'd like some prepping ideas also ideas on what type of brushes or rollers, etc would work best for me and that type wall. Thank you!
