  • Hi, I have a contractor working on my house for water damage.
    Hi, I have a contractor working on my house for water damage. I dont see him doing proper work. For example, he said he replaced all baseboards and painted the new ones. But I see that he actually just re-used the old ones he removed. I am not too sure if he is using the right things or doing what he said he'll do. The work is close to being done now. What can I do?

    After removing the 4" granite backsplash, I realized there are gaps more than 1/2" in some places. I don't think thinset and glass tile will fill the gap. What is the best way to handle this? I already bought the tile, so thicker tile is out of the question...unless there are no better ways.
