I live in an apartment that has a small electric baseboard

This answer was rated:

Hi. I live in an apartment that has a small electric baseboard heater by my front door. I have accidentally kicked it twice while taking off my shoes. I don't use the heater since my apartment has central air. My question is could I have caused any damage to the floorboard heater that would cause any kind of electrical or fire hazard?
JA: Did you double-check the thermostat's settings? And what about the filters?
Customer: No. I keep it set to off.
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: Not planning on any work. Just concerned about any danger.
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: No
