I have a liftmaster that won't open or close in the morning when its cold.
JA: I'll do all I can to help. How long have you been dealing with this?
Customer: after it warms up it works fine all day undil the next cold morning

Expert:  Eddie replied 8 months ago. is a known problem thst extreme temperatures will cause the sensors to work erratically......there are maybe a few steps that you can take to aid in this is to wrap the sensors in a towel without covering the eye or the LED even just to see it working through the cloth...........the other might be to switch the sensors and keep the "sender" in the sun as much as possible ........a little electric heater with a thermostat or something you can switch on for cold days could work tooThankseddie
