Power purchase plans or lease back plans are the cheapest way. Tey have no upfront costs and you just pay for the power generated by the panels at a cheaper rate than what the power compan charges. The Solar companies owns the panels but most plans have a buy in option. You need to talk to an installer about panel placement options.
