I'm trying to take paint off my concrete shop floor, it was

Customer Question

I'm trying to take paint off my concrete shop floor, it was painted with a latex porch and floor paint (rustoleum) 5 years ago, starting to flake up and looks bad, tried a buffer with a carbide tip blade, worked so so, tried stripper, just ended up melting into pores, now trying a Soda/Abrasive Blaster, again so so. If I get the flaking paint up can I repaint with something else? Or do you have any suggestions

Best option is 2 part epoxy floor paint. Rustoleum makes a good version

I tried that years ago on garage floor etched it with muratic acid. About a year after it started coming up where vehicle tires set. Wasn't too pleased

The current products are much improved. You could try the 1 part products but they don't seem to stand up to abuse as well.
