My garage door won't open all the way on the first try? Is there something I can do?

This is often caused by the safety sensors.

Located on each side of the door bear the bottom.

1: check that they are lined up eith eaxh other.

2: check for obstructions in the line of sight. Leaves, spider webs, tools, etc

3: check the lights on sensors
Each should have a green light on.

4: if safety sensors are aligned
with no obvious obstructions but not lit check for broken or loose
wires to the sensors sll the way to the control unit.

5: If 1-4 are not the problem
the control unit (circuit board )
could be bad .

NOTE: if either sensor has a light out and the wires are good replace both sensors .NOTE: replacing the control ( circuit board is usually a last resort.
