I think I pulled a grey wire loose from my Destiny*****garage door opener and now it is not working. Where do I reconnect it?

1-) The make DESTINY and model 1200 and/or number of the unit in question and do you have the manual for it?

2-) how old it might be and if you are the original owner

3-) there are 2 safety sensors on your door do both have an amber, or green light that is on steady and not flickering?

4-) can you tell me if you have a working wall control and how many working remotes

5-) any flashing LED lights on the opener (ceiling unit) and how many times it blinks before pausing? The color of the learn button is?

6-) has there been any kind of disruption that may have changed the dynamics with this opener....any wiring or perhaps the kids playing there or a recent power outage

7-) what happened that made it go from working to non-working ?

8-) are you using only the equipment that came with this opener?

9-) do you have a chain......belt......or screw drive? BELT

10-) what exactly happens when you do click the transmitter?....... the door doesn't move but you hear the motor?......it goes partial way?........reverses?

11-) do you feel that you are capable of making simple adjustments and more than mechanical in making some harder ones if necessary?

We can start here and with the info you provide I will add steps toward our target as we proceed by our correspondence

There were some lights flashing on the unit after she pulled the grey wire, but she unplugged the unit from the power and now nothing is lit. The sensors by the door are not flashing either.

she is not sure if you pulled the grey wire loose but when the door quit working she noticed the wire so she thought she may have hit it

where was the gray wire connected?...........to a sensor .............the opener.............the wall control?...........that's why I need specific answers

How many times did the opener blink before a pause?

that's the problem, The wire is coming from the back of the motor unit on the ceiling, The opener is not blinking at all

she said it is coming out of the back of the ceiling unit. Well I just spoke to my husband and he said that was the antenna wire and it normally does hang like that so somethink else must be the problem. But no lights are working anywhere.

you're husband is right .........so it is back to the questionnaire there are questions you didn't answer.........she has to plug the opener back in to see how many times a light might be blinking ...........and the sensor lights

Ha Ha....it says all over the power cord to not unplug. But she had already. I had her unplug and plug back in. It has a blue light blinking so I guess we need to reprogram the remote control (she changed plugs so I suppose she had plugged it into a bad one first . good grief!
