how deep do you have to dig for perimeter walls?
Expert:  Rick replied 10 months ago.

It depends on where you live. The footings have to be 1' below deepest expected frost depth.

How wide do the garage footings have to be?
Expert:  Rick replied 10 months ago.

What county are you in? what altitude? Footings should be 24" wide

Expert:  Rick replied 10 months ago.

Charts show 25" frost depth for Colorado Springs so your footing would have to be 37" deep but check with your local building inspector to see what they require.
