I just removed a pipe from my building which is made of cinder blocks and would like to plug the hole that remains. What is the best way to do it?

Do you mean the pipe is made of cement or is it actually made of blocks? how big is the opening? what did the pipe serve.do?

I removed the metal pipe from the side of my building which is made of cinder block. Now I have a hole in the cinder block so whats the best thing to cover it up with

about 2 inch in diameter

OK, sorry for the delay. Best way to deal with this is to chip down a brick so it fits (sort of) tight in the hole leaving it back from the face of the block about 1/4". Then face off the brick/fill in the rest of the hole with mortar (mix).
