I have a N5900B saw. the blade guard recoil springs have come off. I need to reconnect them, as the saw is unsafe with the guard not operating. Can you send me a diagram of the spring assembly for the guard?

While the diagram does not show the spring in detail it should be helful

There is only one spring that pulls the safety cover back.
Part 007
Expert:  Machinc replied 1 year ago.
The part 005 ( safety cover) will be loose.
The back part that does not move will be marked as 20
Expert:  Machinc replied 1 year ago.
The spring 007 has a loop on each end . Looking closely at the fixed piece 20 you should find a " stick out" or notch where the loop will fit .

There is a similar place on part 5 to attach the spring.
Expert:  Machinc replied 1 year ago.
It is often necessary to completely remove the blade cover 005 to find this spot. Once found the pieces can be held apart and the spring attached .
Then align the pieces 5 and 20 without loosening the spring and reattach.

This may take a few tries but it should go right on .
Do not try testing the spring without hand tightening the cover parts,
