My opener worked fine until I used it to open the door part

Customer Question

My opener worked fine until I used it to open the door part way and then close it while inside the car in the garage. Since then it hasn't worked. I changed the batterHBW124y but still nothing. The opener is Life-Master and the ID is HBW1241.

Hi there,

Can you still open and close the door some other way, without the remote?

If the LiftMaster is still functional, then the remote may just need re-pairing with the system again.

To do this, press and release the Learn button on the LiftMaster, then within 30 seconds, press and hold the button on the remote for three seconds. The LED indicator light should turn off or the operator lights will blink indicating programming was completed successfully. Press the button on the remote again to test it. The opener should now work normally again.

Where's the learn button?
Expert:  Pete replied 1 year ago.

The Learn button is located on the LiftMaster, usually near the pull-cord.

I haven't had a chance to try it yet. Sunday is test day. Will let you know.
