Welcome. My name is ***** ***** would be glad to assist.

More details are needed.

1. Do the remotes work with the opener? Open? Close?

2. Get the actual Model number off the opener nameplate and post so specs can be obtained for your exact unit

Let me know and we can continue,

Not understanding the response?

If all work, what is the problem?

Customer: replied 2 years ago.
well they work in a sense that they start the door to close but then I have the reverse problem as indicated in the initial question.
Expert:  AssuredElectrical replied 2 years ago.

Need to know if the remotes work properly?

Or if you press the remote and the door closes and immediately opens back up.

The original post stated when the wall button is pressed, it closes and immediately opens back?

If so,

Have someone watch the safety eyes for even a FAST FLICKER and see if they are not the issue

Customer: replied 2 years ago.
if remotes or wall unit is pressed, door comes down about a foot the reverses back up after a couple of times it eventually closes all the way and stays down

Ok, thanks, ***** ***** the situation for another issue. Appreciate the clarification.

The force has lost some setting, which is normal with age of doors etc.

See the picture below to make a very small adjustment tot he force setting on the close

That should clear up the situation with probably the 1st or 2nd adjustment on the force screw.

ONLY a screwdriver slot width at a time on the screw movement, it is easy to go too far.

Expert:  AssuredElectrical replied 2 years ago.

If it doesnt cure the problem after 4-5 adjustments, then you will need to look at the safety eyes, as previously posted for a quick flicker.

It is one of those two issues.

Even though eyes are lit and operating, as the door moves the rail twists and changes them many times.

Same on the force, it takes more force with age on doors and rollers etc.
