Customer Question

I am remodeling my house and the floor in the den was cement, wire mesh and tile, however, I took up all of it and want to match hardwood flooring like my living room. Problem, the 1 by 8 are rotten I want to replace them, that's ok, but it will be a 2 & 1/4" height to make up to meet the kitchen floor. Joists are 2×8, they are good, how can I make up the 2 1/4"

I'm not quite sure if I follow your process but a 2 x 3 (on the flat) with 3/4" plywood on top will give you 2 1/4"
