What is the make and model number of your garage door opener?
Is it stopped in the Open position?
Customer: replied 4 years ago.
Craftsman, closed. Keypad doesn't work anyway. Now remotes don't work.

Hi Cindy,

There are several possible reasons why the door will not open.
If both remotes suddenly stopped working at the same time, then this suggests a fault with the opening mechanism itself.

Check that there is power going to the motor. You will need a voltmeter and prior knowledge of how to take voltage readings safely to carry this out.

If the motor is getting power, check for any faults with the mechanism - perhaps the chain is slipping or the door is stuck.

If you are unable to carry out these tests and checks yourself, then you will need to call a repair man to have the door opener fixed.
