I have a home improvement question. My home has a 8 ft X 36

I have a home improvement question. My home has a 8 ft X 36 ft covered patio. Two sides are enclosed by the exterior house walls. The walls are currently finished with 12 inch lap siding. I would like to cover the existing siding to make the patio more eye appealing. I will perform the work myself so I would like suggestions that are relatively easy to do.

Since it sounds like the patio is open to the weather I'd suggest tongue and groove vertical wood paneling. You don't say where you live so I don't know what's most available where you are but here in New England V groove pine is most common. It's also available in a bead board pattern instead of V groove. You can paint or stain it and it will give your patio a more finished look. It's also pretty easy to install.

I just added above that it's also available in a bead board pattern
