If both switches are in the same box make a pigtail off the hot wire

To do this cut yourself two 6 inch pieces of wire and wire nut them to the hot wire and feed both switches

How many wires are in the box now ?

what color are they ?

Customer: replied 9 years ago.
two switches in one box (one to plugs, one to light)
I need to know how many wires and what color are they to beable to answer your question
Customer: replied 9 years ago.
Three sets of 12/2 (White,Black,Copper)
One coming in from breaker,One coming in from light, and one coming in from plugs.

Ok good the one from the breaker make the pigtail I spoke of earlier and connect it to both switches you will have to make one for the grounds also

Now all the white wires will get wire nutted together they don't go to either switch

One black will go to one switch to your lights

One black to the other switch to your plugs all grounds get tied together and on the green screw of the switch
