how to convert 1400mA to amps

have 2 12 electronic devices trying to connect to deep cycle battery trying to dertimine run time so i can decide how big a battery to purchase

1A = 1000 mA. Using amps, 1400mA would equal 1.4 amps. Using 1 1/2 amps as your draw current would get you very close.
