1985 case 580 se backhoe..fluid level..solenoid clutch cut..shifting

Customer Question

bin hello, have 1985 case 580 se backhoe, finished digging and when i used the front loader had no power in forward, checked fluid level all ok. drained the oil and found nothing in oil.removed linkage on shuttle, removed wire on solenoid clutch cut out, started, shifting at solenoid found very little power in forward. not sure how to remove solenoid from shuttle, thinking maybe stuck, but reverse works great. this is a farm machine and not used often but always did the job. thank you

Shaft is held by snap ring at each end, remove them and shaft will come out on the end with the plate.
