Based on your description it sounds like the transmission charge pump is working since you had oil spraying from the filter housing. Most likely your main pump has something stuck in the destroking valve preventing the pump from going back into stroke. The below diagram shoes the end cap on the main hydraulic pump with #24 being the stroke control valve.
This diagram also shows the optional manual destroking kit shown as #4. If your tractor is equipped with the little t handle on the top this would be the manual destroking valve. With the engine running screw in the manual destroking valve as far as you can and then turn it all the way back out. By manually destroking the pump you flush the destroking valve out. In most cases the pump will return to normal operation at this point.
If you do not have a manual destroking valve you have two options. You can purchase the manual destroking kit #4 and install it on the tractor or you can carefully remove and clean the stroke control valve #24. If you choose to remove the stroke control valve it wouldn't be a bad idea to replace all the o-rings and packings prior to reassembly.

Sorry about the delay in my responding, I must have missed the notification telling me you had responded.
I know you mentioned that you had oil spraying from around your filter housing at one point so I know you have some charge pressure but perhaps not much flow. There is a sump screen in the bottom of the transmission that filters out the larger material before getting to the charge pump. If the sump screen is restricted it can cause the main pump to starve for oil. If you haven't already drain the oil from the rear and and pull the screen out and make sure it is clean.
There is also a very fine screen in the main hydraulic pump itself shown as #46 as shown below. Pull the screen from the hydraulic pump and check to see if it has any debris in it. Let me know if that screen is dirty or clean. Keep me posted and I will do my best to get back with you a little quicker.

The tractor has two pumps, transmission pump and the main pump. The transmission pump is responsible for providing lube oil for the transmission and then acting as a charge pump for the main hydraulic pump. While I'm fairly certain that your transmission pump is working it wouldn 't be a be a bad idea to check that the front pump is getting good flow. With out a flow meter the easiest way to check for oil to the front pump is to remove the plug on the front pump where the pump screen goes in and crank the engine over. Don't let the engine start but crank it enough to see that oil starts to flow out the removed plug in a steady stream.
If you find that the front pump is getting good oil flow then we know that the problem is in the front pump. Before going too far check that the front pump input shaft is turning and the splines and drive couplers did not shear. If we know that the pump is turning and you have charge oil to it then the problem is in the stroke control valve. The stroke control valve is responsible for putting the main pump into stroke. It may be necessary to pull the stroke control valve out and inspect for damage to the o-rings or valve itself #24.
You should at the very least have steering if the pump was going into stroke at all. I have seen instances where the rear three point can leak extremely badly internally and cause steering to chatter or be weak. If you are getting no steering pressure at all then the pump simply isn't being command into stroke.

Ok so we can rule out the front pump for the time being. The transmission housing has a transmission pump pressure relief valve in it. I've never had a problem with the relief valve before but it wouldn't be a bad idea to check it. Should the relief valve spring have broken it would not allow the transmission pump to hold any pressure at all as it would dump all oil back to sump. The relief valve spring is shown as #26 in the below attached diagram.
Is your tractor by chance equipped with a power reverser or a hydraulic hi/low shift lever?
