i have a 2006 cat mini excavator 301.8 when the machine is running and with both
safety arms down there is no hydr power to anything

I see a 2 pin and a 3 pin connector in the lh console.

Did you see the 3 pin connector

If you just jumped the 2 pin connector it wont power up the lockout solenoid

Well you need power on the pink wire and there should be a 3 pin connector to
jump and you should jump pin a to b that is yellow to pink

does it show a good picture of the lock out solenoid , if it is the lock out
jumping isnt going to work right

Right, don't want to go through the work of getting to the solenoid only to find
out that your switch was bad

They say to remove the cab on the 301.8

You would have to at least remove the seat...Doesn;t look like they had the
access panel until the 301.8C

Ok well I would check out power at the relay. When the consoles are down shound
see battery voltage between pink and black. Brown should have power on it when
the key is on and the green should get power when there is power on the pink and
black

you could still have a bad relay or bad solenoid or a break in the wiring

and check power between pink and black and make sure there is power at the browm

then if you can back probe check for power out on the green

if there is power there, go to the solenoid and check

there could be an open in the coil. If you check continuity across the coil and
it is good and you have pwer, then the valve is mechanically failed and not
opening
