did you check the battery voltage

I will double check, Wayne - I thought my voltmeter read close to 12 - hang on;

it reads 13.5 v dc

what is your reading when you try to start ,does it drop

I get no drop in voltage - no nothing.

Ok, need to check and clean all battery terminals, at starter, battery, and fuse panel
Customer:
I went out and tried it again - with the voltmeter on the batt, turned the key & suddenly the instrument panel lit up and there was a clank near the starter - then dead again. The voltmeter reads 13.5 again just like before. It did it twice, then dead after the 'clank.'
