Hello and Thank You for selecting Just Answer, Couple questions to better understand your problem, Do you have other hydraulic function s that work fine, like front loader or rear remotes,"scv's"? steering operates fine? Did you verify linkage is moving shaft into valve housing?
Customer:
front loader works fine, no rear remotes, just pto and three oint lift/rockshaft. pto works fine. three point lift won't lift or lower. Tom

steering, transmission, pto, front loader all work fine . the three point lift is the only problem. no rear remotes. what are"svc's"? Linkage is moving rockshaft. Tom
ebnel : Sc's are short for selective control valve which would operate your rear remotes if equipped. If front loader functions fine then main hydraulic pump is good. I will check schematic and get back with you.

I have checked schematics and troubleshooting guide. Neither mention this problem. I was told to remove adjustment valve and clean it because with this model tractor this seems to be a one time thing and after it is fixed the first time after break-in it does not re-occur. Tom

Yes you will need to remove control valve and inspect control valve spool for corrosion, make sure all parts are free and apply grease to lubricate and prevent this problem.

The valve is under the seat on top of the differencial, and it sits down in the differencial in oil. Do I put grease on andin the valve and re-install in differencial mixing grease and rear end oil? Tom
Customer:
I was told that when the valve is removed the three point lift will drop and rear-end oil wil leak out thru where the valve was mounted. Can I mix grease and oil together? Tom

Make sure arms are down/no load,or block up is arms are up.Just use small dab of grease and spread on valve using finger or brush. Tiny dab of grease will not comtaminate hyd. oil.

Do I dissasimble the Valve?

Yes you will need to check all components of hitch valve and clean/lube, also make sure no o-rings are damaged or showing signs of leakage. Remove lift links from rockshaft arms to help prevent injury.
