yes both directions quit at same time seams to slow down then just stop.

Early serial numbers like yours were not Series II. The transmission is the same anyway.
Donnie :
I would check the pressures cold and after it warms. If pressure is good bu,t transmission is slipping, clutches have failed.
Donnie :
If pressures drop and oil temperature is getting very hot, test the torque converter.
Donnie :
If pressures drop and oil is not overheating, the pump is the likely problem.
Donnie :
Any of these will require the transmission be removed to repair it.
