Is it pulsating the hydraulics?

Does it vibrate when no hydraulic functions are being used?

Does this machine have a forward/reverser or two speed?

If either does it make any difference in the problem?

Customer
The pulsating is in the hydraulics when raising the bucket and crouding in and out but not when lowering,It still has the usual amount of power to the hudraulics. The pulsating is also felt in the backhoe end when operating it but not as bad.The machine does not vibrate when the when the hydraulics are not being used, the machine has a foward/reverser it is functioning properly. It does not seem to make ant differance.Thank you for your reply.

I would be most concerned with looking at the transmission pump, all of your symptoms point to it. The main pump is set to generate the same pressure weather or not there is air in the system or not it just takes longer for the functions to reach full stroke.

Being that it works ok for a little while means that once there is heat built up in the clutch from the pump, high pressure leak or a slipping clutch it stops is going to be one or more of the following.

Bad clutch seals, worn out clutch disks.

Faulty trans pump.

Hight pressure leak in the trans pump circuit.

Part 7 is a suction screen you should check as well.

Customer
The vibration is in the machine as soon as you use the hydraulics wether it is hot or cold makes no diferance. It does not work ok for a little while and then play up the problem is always there. The problem only occured 3 days ago.I thought this info may help.I will check the filter screen.Thank you for your help so far.

Sorry about the hot/cold answer, I was dealing with another customer with similar issues. Pay attention to what you find in the screen. There could be clutch material in the screen. I still think there is a problem in the trans pump or clutch.

Thank you

Customer
Thank you Adam.Does the tranny pump feed hydraulic fluid to the hydraulic pump.I do have a military workshop manuel on the machine but it is a bit vauge.Sorry about the dumb question but it will help me understand the system better.
Yes the trans pump supplies about 20 gpm to the main pump up front. Depending on the pump size. The main pump will generally be about 5 gpm less to any leakage will be noticed easily.
Customer
Thankyou Adam .I will have a look and get back to you.

Thank you,

Please accept the answer it you are satified.
