873 bobcat: blown..changed fuse and restarted..connector melted

Resolved Question:

Have an 873 bobcat that died while at idle 30amp fuse had blown, changed fuse and restarted but died again, fuse still ok but found a connector melted repaired it but seems I have no fuel when I try to start

Thanks, XXXXX XXXXX like the fuel cut off solenoid is having a problem. With the key on check for voltage of 5 to 8 volts on 1 wire to the solenoid and ground on the other wire.

if I have voltage and ground, replace solenoid?

yes, if you have power and ground the solenoid is bad.You can check it once you remove it from the machine by grounding the solenid case and the wiring hooked up. with the solenoid removed, the engine should run as a test and can be shut down using the external fuel shut off lever.
