Hi there.i can help you with this..if you go to your ecm and look below,into the block you will see a 3 wire sensor.that will be it..let me know how you made out..

engine shutting down after it runs for a few minutes, setting code that oil pressure is below normal, oil pressure is good and gauge in dash is showing normal....can I bypass by unplugging it or something?

no.thats there for engine protection and cannot...i know those oil pressure sensors are expensive little s.o.b.'s
