how do i adjust the valves on a 1964 tractor 4000 diesel valve adjustment

You have the 3 cylinder 201 cubic inch diesel. Remove the rocker cover and use a 1/2 inch wrench to set the rocker arm. The intake valves set at .014 to .016, the exhaust .017 to .019. Set the valves when both valves on same cylinder are at upper most point. They should both be loose at that point. SEt the first one and then rotate engine till the next one is in position. After completing all three, do a double check and you will be through. Reassemble with a new rocker cover gasket. Thanks.

it is a 4 cylinder

My service manual show the 4 cylinder in the 5000 series. All the settings are the same as the three cylinder. Sorry.
