VerifiedLoaders are much harder than dozers due the limited space to get into the floor plate to access everything. The best tip is to drive the loader up on 8 to 10 inch blocks before removing anything and drop the convertor out the bottom.
Some folks will flush the transmission by adding diesel fuel to the oil and running it for no more than 10 minutes. A mix of not more than 50/50 fuel and oil is all that is needed. You must drain this oil/fuel mix to prevent damage to the clutches.
No cleaning will fix an overheating or slipping problem. Inspect the oil and filter for metal or debris. If it is shinny and has aluminum in it, a convertor failure is likely.
Use a magnet in the oil the check if metal is steel or aluminum.
It has been a long time since I worked on a Case. I remember the convertor bolted to the flywheel housing and it took a day just to get it out. This was after removing covers and pans so machine could be cleaned.
They bolted the drive plate to the flywheel and this will take time to remove bolts and turn engine to get all the bolts. A rear cover on top of the convertor housing is were we would go to get access to the bolts, a loader maybe easier to access the bottom by removing the pump and gear.
