Hi there are 2 for the engine, the filter drain is for draining the filter I usually dont drain it there if the machine has set for a while I just remove the plug under the oil pan. on the trans there is one under neath the tractor and I think there is one on the clutch housing. drain drain from under the tractor first . the plug is beside your drawbar. Then you can drain from the clutch housing. I hope this helps

Here is what I would check, when you drain the oil there is a large line on the left hand side in front and below the final drive there is a screen in or by that that line It will have a snapring around it. this is your low pressure pump screen { charge pump} check to see if that is plugged up. Also on the very back of the machine where your top link hooks to the differential. remove these bolts and the top link. you should now see a plug I think its about 1 2/8 or 1 1/4 remove this. there is a shaft that you can pull out, it is 6 sided. remove this and see if it is good all the way down. this drives your charge pump. The charge pump feed the hydraulic pump.

as far as the 1-2 3-4 this is your 2 speed if there is no trans, pressure this will not work because the planatarys will be the only thing working and the hydraulic side of the 2 speed will not work .Only the mechanical side
