Is the noise in the transmission or the reverser? If it is the transmission you should be able to get rid of the noise if you try a different gear.
Have had bunches of these apart but way more reverser trouble than transmission trouble.

I have not seen the clip but I think the noise is the countershaft inside the reverser. They make a kind of klunking/deep rattle. The counter shaft is what the power goes through in reverse. So when you flip to forward it doesn't have any load on it and it will rattle. There is a timken bearing on each end of the shaft and they get worn and then the shaft will be a little loose.
In order to repair this the complete reverser will have to be removed.
1 remove engine
2 remove complete dash assembly
3 remove clutch housing
4 remove reverser
Believe it or not the dozer's are easier than the loaders.
I can almost guarantee that you will need what is called the collector housing. there are steel sealing rings that wear groves in the housing. what will happen is after the oil gets warm it will leak past the sealing rings and not apply the clutch pack. The same thing happens with the piston housings.
The last one I did was in 2001 and I had 40 hours and $2400 in parts
