Cummins 855 engines are very popular, very reliable, easy to work on and get parts for, they are commonly used in tractors as well as marine and power generation applications. you can find new, used and reconditioned parts readily on the internet or through any Cummins Dealer..
I personally feel the Cummins 855 is very wise choice in the engine market.

I received this info from another Tech here at JA... please read his info below..
Sorry to but in but this is important info for customer.
Please advise them NOT to purchase the ST310 model as this spec NT855 is not a good one for a tractor and cannot be re-spec'd without a full overhaul like most of the other CPL's.
I have re-spec'd several of these, with incredible results, but involved large cost. The re-spec that Cummins and stieger came up with to respond to public demand were actually worse and on the ST310 would cause the owner to sell the machine.
