Customer Question

I think I have ringworm on my left ring finger (I don't wear any rings) but I don't know.
JA: What are all the symptoms you're experiencing (e.g. loss of appetite, fever, rash)?
Customer: It's itchy and burns occasionally. It started as a small spot and I kept a bandaid on it and use an anti-fungal cream but it's wrapping around the finger.
JA: How long have you been dealing with this? Does anything in particular seem to make the itch better or worse?
Customer: I had athletes foot, but that went away no problem. It's been a few weeks, at least. Nothing seems to help.
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: Time to go to a walk in clinic?

Got those--thanks

What's the antifungal cream you've been using?

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
Tinactin
Customer: replied 1 month ago.
The bulk of it is a shiny inflamed spot with little bumps that ooze clear liquid..?

OK

That really won't work well for a fungal infection like this

Try over the counter clotrimazole cream twice a day for two weeks

If that doesn't work you'll need prescription ketoconazole cream

Please let me know if you need any more information
