I began taking gabapentin for cluster headaches about 8

Customer Question

I began taking gabapentin for cluster headaches about 8 weeks ago. My headaches have calmed down quite a bit. Should I ween myself from gabapentin & if so how do I do this with a capsule dose?
JA: Is the headache episodic or daily? And what about nausea?
Customer: Had been daily prior to starting the prescription. Presently I'd say it's dulled & episodic. I began suffering from vertigo within the last 24-48 hours. So I am experiencing some nausea due to that. Vertigo is something I first experienced about 14 months ago it resolved with some specific vertigo pt. I am working that now, staying hydrated & taking motion sickness medicine for relief. I'm new to gabapentin, as I mentioned, so I want to know if this is a good time to ween - cluster headaches have dulled, not resolved and vertigo has reared its "ugly head" again Thank you
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: I do suffer from frequent insomnia (4-6 times a month). I take Trazadone 50mg for this. Haven't taken this in about 3 weeks.
