Why was the first urine test done?
I tend to think it's a rush to judgement. RBC in a urine sample can be from exercise, a kidney stone, urinary tract infection (which would also explain the bacteria). Epithelial cells and bacteria can also come from sample contamination from the vagina. Usual procedure would be to give an antibiotic for the infection and follow up in 10 days to 2 weeks with another urine test to see if there is any improvement. Treating the infection would seem to be the first step.
