I am seeing waving zig-zag distortion in my right eye's peripheral vision and need to know if this is something serious or if it will pass. It started this morning but is quite annoying as I am trying to work.

Just started this morning. No other symptoms. I am on Beta-Blockers for High blood pressure and Diazepam (2mg) for stress.

Zigzag lines in one eye can be from a few causes.
It can be from vascular causes.
It can be aura of migraine.
There can be nerve issues like neuritis, TIA or transient ischemic attack of brain.
Detachment of retina, increased pressure in eye or glaucoma can be factors.
I feel you should get an examination by doctor.
