Customer Question

Hi, I decided to do a urine dip stick because I've noticed a different odor for the last couple of months and it shows large amt of nitrates. I've had couple of UTI's in the past and I do not have the classical symptoms with this problem. It did also show some blood and leukocytes.
JA: In general, how has your health been lately?
Customer: Excessive tiredness. Iam 53 and in menopause stage, so all the trimmings that come along with it. Insomnia being the worse.
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: I tend to be somewhat hypertensive, and been on meds before, but currently not taking them. They make me feel very "worn out".

Thank you for your question.

I am Dr Saha, I shall try my best to help you.

As the dip test showed presence of blood and leukocytes and you have some symptoms, urinary infection is possible.

I would advise to consult with your doctor or go to urgent care to have lab urine test.

Doctor can take urine culture too.

Antibiotic can be required.

I hope this information helps.

If there’s anything else I can do, please let me know.

Please rate my answer excellent if you are satisfied with it.
